zoeterwoude-rijndijk

headquarters

Approximately 7,000 m2 of land for our Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk headquarters was acquired by Dick Mulder in 2006.

In 2010, the construction of our headquarters in Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk began. This was a highly significant investment, especially due to the recent global financial crisis of 2008. The yard opened up its doors in December 2012, allowing Mulder to step up into the superyacht industry.

Dry dock 1

The first dry dock measures 58 x 12 metres and is the primary construction dock for the finishing of yachts between 300 – 500 GT.

Dry dock 2

The second dry dock measures 58 x 14 metres and is in use as a painting facility for yachts between 300 – 500 GT.

boatlift

Thanks to our four-wheel steered boat lift, which has a capacity of 100 tonnes, yachts up to 30 metres in length can be safely hauled out for placement in the hardstanding area of the facilities.

step inside

The interior of our Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk facility measures 40 x 30 metres and is able to accommodate four yachts when they are positioned next to each other. Mulder expects this to house two new builds, one service and one refit vessel.

voorschoten

a historic site

Founded on the former location of the historic ‘Oranjeboom’ windmill, our yard in Voorschoten was acquired by Dirk Mulder Senior in 1938.

Following the completion of several new builds, alongside numerous refit projects, Dick Mulder Junior oversaw the construction of a new shed, allowing the yard to build the largest yacht in Voorschoten: the Mulder 88 Flybridge SEA BREEZE II in 2001.

The construction hall measures 25 x 20 metres and is used for the construction of the Mulder Favorite 1500 and Mulder Favorite 1700 yachts. In addition, boats of up to 20 metres can also be hauled out in this facility.

Since the reopening of the shipyard in 2019, Mulder has invested heavily in upgrading this facility to meet today’s standards.

water shed

The indoor water shed in Voorschoten measures 20 x 20 metres and is primarily used for servicing Mulder yachts.

enkhuizen

hull construction

Responding to a growing demand for larger yachts, Mulder invested in the acquisition of a shipyard in 2022 to found an aluminium hull construction department.

Two production halls, with a length of 52 x 14 metres and 45 x 14 metres respectively, provide ample space for the construction of Mulder superyachts.

function

The Enkhuizen yard contributes to Mulder’s overall efficiency, ensuring that the company is not solely dependent on contractors, as many shipyards are. Notably, only a handful of construction companies are available for 30+ metre yachts in the Netherlands.

Mulder intends to build future yachts on speculation and has a multi-year construction plan to fulfill this aim. Volatility in the aluminium market and long-term contracts with suppliers contribute to an optimized purchase programme.

The location

Mulder Enkhuizen BV is situated on the south part of Enkhuizen, adjacent to the Amsterdam side of the former Zuiderzee: the Markermeer.

Located just over an hour away from the headquarters, the region surrounding Mulder Enkhuizen has a wealth of history in boatbuilding and watersports, contributing to local industry and the local economy.

warmond

mulder marina

Since the acquisition of the Warmond facility in 2018, Mulder has renovated this 4,000 m2 marina step-by-step. The marina has six outdoor berths, with a maximum beam of six metres, and over 20 indoor berths for yachts up to 70 feet (21.3 metres).

location

Warmond is one of the picturesque villages on the ‘Kagerplassen’, or ‘the Kaag’ in the Western Netherlands. Home to over 250 hectares of amazing Dutch scenery, the area is ideal for enjoying holidays with family and friends, as well as offering excellent opportunities for water sports.

indoor berthing

What could be more luxurious than berthing your yacht indoors? The fully renovated marina provides 32 amps shore power, security, a full service harbour master and much more.

At Warmond, you can be assured that your yacht will be completely safe and protected from the elements. You can go on and off of your vessel whenever you choose, hassle-free, and enjoy major savings on your annual maintenance costs.
