As the name suggests, the Mulder Healey 1800 is tailor-made for the Healey family, known from the classic English sports car brand Austin Healey. With the Mulder Healey 1800 project, a truly unique yacht has been developed for the yachting industry. Over five years the Healey family investigated to find the right partner to build their 60-feet yacht that matches the Healey DNA. In 2017/2018 , the knowledgeable Mulder team developed and constructed the Mulder Healey 1800 in all secrecy.
Sir Donald Healey, a successful car designer and rally driver, founded Healey Motor Company in 1945. Healey’s new enterprise focused on producing expensive, high-quality, high-performance cars. In the true spirit of their grandfather, the Healey Family decided to develop a high-quality, high-performance, comfortable motor yacht.
The search was focused on a shipyard that can build a highly custom yacht of high quality and that is practical, comfortable, reliable in heavy weather and build with traditional craftsmanship.
As in the spirit of the Austin Healey sports cars, the Mulder Healey 1800 is a head turning and unique yacht. It will immediately catch the eye due to the special color scheme on her hull. This is one of her recognizable attributes that reverts to the legacy of the car manufacturer.
The duo-tone, metallic blue with white, color combination refers to the Austin Healey 100S.

This modern interpretation of a flybridge has never been built on a Mulder yacht before and gives a special open-top experience.
Another reference to the car brand is the small windshield on top of the superstructure, which is also from the Austin Healey 100S.
The hull integrity is ensured with building the yacht from top-quality seawater resistant aluminium. Thicker hull plating and a strong construction of web-frames are entirely welded.
With the knowledge of insulating yachts in the well-known Dutch Superyacht Industry, the Mulder Healey is identically built up. Massive rubber plating, sound-dampening coatings and a floating interior guarantees a luxurious feeling on board.
With the preference of using natural materials, all elements of carpentry have been carefully selected by Mulder. From the finest veneer to a single piece of solid wood. Handcrafted in-house at the Mulder yard by dedicated craftsmen.
