Fourth Mulder ThirtySix sold

June 16, 2021

Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk-based Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands has announced the sale of its fourth Mulder ThirtySix yacht, further cementing its reputation as a shipyard with a solid presence in the global superyacht world.

Originally founded in 1938, and having successfully delivered a worldwide fleet of more than 100 motor yachts to date, the third-generation family-run Dutch yacht builder began construction on this 36-metre vessel in December 2018, which is slated for delivery in mid-July and will embark on her sea trials on 20th June.

Following in the footsteps of previous Mulder ThirtySix sister ships Mana, Calypso and Delta Onesuccessfully delivered in 2020, 2019 and 2017 respectively – hull number four has been sold to a first-time Mulder owner who has had previous experience with Dutch builds.

The award-winning Mulder ThirtySix features a sleek aluminium construction and a continuous window line which culminates in a contemporary plumb bow, with its modern exterior springing from the drawing boards of British studio Claydon Reeves and with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Built in accordance with and under survey of the rules and regulations of ABS, the Mulder ThirtySix is MCA Compliant, with unrestricted navigation.

As with all Mulder ThirtySix yachts, hull number four features the patented Van Oossanen Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) which ensures both comfortable cruising and fuel economy at all speeds, offering a 15 knot cruising speed and a maximum speed of 16.8 knots.

The full-beam design of the 298GT Mulder ThirtySix maximizes the volume and privacy in the owners’ area, with the slender, fluid design bucking the recent industry trend of ballooning beams. This slender eight-metre beam and long waterline ensure guests can enjoy comfort and outstanding seakeeping capacities even in rough seas: qualities which are hallmarks of all Mulder-built yachts.

The ideal vessel for guests who want to get out and about on the water, the ThirtySix’s transverse garage houses a max. 6.5-metre tender, two jet skis, kayaks, diving gear, seabobs and more, with embarkation possible via the side-opening hatch and the generous open stern beach club platform. As well as providing safe and comfortable embarkation, the beach club is a popular area on board the Mulder ThirtySix with both owners and charterers alike, coming equipped with a wet bar, a 50-inch TV, dayhead, outdoor shower and swimming facilities.

Four spacious cabins on board the fourth Mulder ThirtySix provide accommodation in style and comfort for up to ten guests, with one guest cabin convertible to a gym if desired. The full beam master suite offers dedicated access to a private seating area in the bow, ideal for sitting back and taking in panoramic ocean views.

The Mulder ThirtySix is a vessel designed with entertaining in mind. Her impressive saloon, dining room and bar area on the main deck feature floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise natural light on board. In addition, the sundeck/flybridge boasts ample seating areas, a seven-person spa pool, a bar, coffee-break area, outdoor diner and much more, allowing guests to make the most of their time on the water and escape the stresses of the everyday.
